This weekend, March 31 -April 1 annual Snowmobile Racing will take to the slopes of Plattekill Mountain in Roxbury, NY. Although the temperatures have been mild this past week, the course is covered in snow, the racing is on, and the spring-like temps should make for a fun weekend outdoors! This year will mark the resort's 10th annual event and is sure to bring excitement to all age racers and race fans. The racing action begins both days at 10am. Registration opens at 7:30am. Two new categories have been added to the line-up for 2007 and include a new "Junior 600 stock" category on Saturday and an all new "King of the Hill" open class as Sunday's finale event. The weekend's activities include live music by area favorites "Jim and Bo", plus food specials, spirits and a huge raffle both Saturday and Sunday with generous prizes and raffle items donated by local area businesses including Mobile Services, Z-Painting, Cronk Appliance & Son, H. Peters Plumbing & Heating, Alta Log Homes, Titan Drilling, Red's Carquest and area snowmobile shops including Klingers, Jere's Repair, Let's Ride Motorsports, Rusty Palmers, Arctic Adventures, Ryder's Sled Shop, and Norms Sales and Service.
Gate fee admission is $10 for one day, $12 for two days and kids under 5 years old are free. Race entry fee is $25 per class. Races are on rain, snow or shine.

Plattekill Mountain will be closed for skiing and snowboarding this weekend for the snowmobile races, but may reopen next weekend weather permitting.
